This is Brenda Beaven, coordinator for the Cochrane District Crimestoppers board. The Timmins Police Service would like your help in identifying an individual believed to be in possession of a handgun.
On the 14th of September, 2025, at approximately 10:20 pm, the suspect attended the Petro Canada gas station and convenience store on Algonquin Boulevard West and pointed a handgun at the store clerk. The suspect actually did pay for all of his items and then left in an unknown direction.
It is believed the same male suspect then called a cab from the Senator Hotel at 14 Mountjoy Street South at 10:34 pm. Once the suspect and an unknown female arrived at their destination, the male suspect pointed a handgun at the Taxi cab driver to avoid paying his fare. The suspects then left on foot near the area of Cedar Street North and Fifth Avenue.
The suspect is described as wearing a Blak coat, black pants, Black/blue and white shoes and a red CCM hoodie. A video of the suspect can be viewed on the mytimminsnow.com website and on the Crimestoppers website at cdcrimestoppers.ca
