Weapons Investigation Leads to Arrest and Multiple Charges

This is Brenda Beaven, coordinator for the Cochrane District Crimestoppers board. The Timmins Police Service would like your help in identifying suspects.

On August 16th, 2025, the Timmins Police Service responded to a report of a gunshot-related injury. During the investigationofficers identified a suspicious vehicle believed to be connected to the occurrence.

Officers identify the scene of the shooting incident and have canvassed the area looking for video footage.

 

There are two other males of interest in this matter.

One male of interest runs northbound on School Road wearing a black hoodie ( no other description)

2nd Male of interest runs eastbound on Riverside Drive wearing all white (hoodie and joggers) with a black side bag.

On August 17, 2025, officers attempted to stop the vehicle in order to identify the driver. The vehicle failed to stop and fled from police. For public safety reasons, no pursuit was initiated.

 

A short time later, the vehicle was involved in a motor vehicle collision when it struck a tree at the corner of Vimy Avenue and Waterloo Road. Despite the collision, the vehicle continued on before coming to a stop on Borden Avenue.

 

Police attended the scene shortly thereafter and observed the driver walking away from the vehicle. Following a brief foot pursuit, the suspect was taken into custody. Incident to arrest, officers seized a quantity of drugs as well as a handgun.
